For this blog post, I will focus on the cars and automotive magazine genre. Double-page spreads (DPS) are a crucial component of automotive magazines, used to showcase new car models, product campaigns, and brand features. For this research, I visited several stores such as Target, Publix, and Walgreens to explore three automotive magazines: Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and Road and Track. Let's dive into each of them:

  1. Car and Driver

  • Coverline or feature story: "The Best Car and Driver's 10Best Cars for 2023"

  • Table of Contents: "10Best Cars of 2023" on page 42

  • Number of images: 4

  • Number of total pages for the article: 8

  • Description of each image: Each image showcases a different car model with an informative description of its features and specifications.

  • Headline: "The Best Cars of the Year, 2023"

  • Section Title: "10Best Cars of 2023"

  • Pull Quotes: "These are the best cars in the world", "Perfection doesn't come easily"

  • Article Font Format: Sans-serif font, easy to read and comprehend.

House Style: Car and Driver's house style is sleek and modern. The magazine uses clean lines, sans-serif fonts, and high-quality images throughout the cover, TOC, and DPS.

Content: The DPS in Car and Driver magazine showcases the top 10 best cars of the year, 2023. Each car model is featured with a detailed description of its features, performance, and driving experience.




2.Motor Trend
